EST 2019: The online registration process for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2019 will start from November 10 on the official website, the link for which is jest.org.in
The last date for submitting online applications and payments is December 15, 2018.
The exam date
As per the latest notification, the exam will be conducted on February 17, 2019, and its score is valid for one year.
Eligibility criteria for JEST 2019:
Ph.D. (Physics): The candidates need to possess a master's degree in Physics.
Ph.D. (Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc): The candidates should hold a master's degree in Science/ Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and related streams.
Ph.D. (Neuroscience at NBRC): The candidates should have a master's degree in Physics or Mathematics, apart from it, bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or master's degree in Computer Science.
Ph.D. (Computational Biology at IMSc): The candidate should possess a postgraduate degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Computer Application or Science.
BSc (Physics/Mathematics): For National Institute of Science Education and Research, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Physics/ Engineering or Technology in Engineering Physics with 60 per cent marks and above
Integrated MSc/ MTech - Ph.D. (Physics): For Indian Institute of Astrophysics, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Engineering/ Technology.

- Log on to the official website
- On the new page, click on the registration link
- Enter all the required information in the prescribed format
- Upload all the relevant documents and pay the application fee
- Click on submit
Dates to be noted:
- The beginning of online application form: November 10, 2018
- Last date to submit application form: December 15, 2018
- Availability of admit card: January 20, 2019
- Date of examination: February 17, 2019
About JEST:
The entrance examination is conducted for admission to Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. courses in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology.
JEST is considered as a National Eligibility Test (NET). The applicants who are willing to take admission in Ph.D./ Integrated Ph.D. Programme in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology in one of the participating institutes may appear for the JEST at one of the exam centers.
